Parkland Cares has been compiling this list of professional, reputable, and long-term counseling for anyone who needs it. Recovering from such tragedy doesn’t happen in mere days. It can take months and even years.
30 year resident of Parkland and Debt.com Chairman Howard Dvorkin is spearheading this effort. Our website aims to continuously update services and tools for the community and beyond.

Henderson is a nonprofit that offers many kinds of care: psychiatric evaluation, outpatient therapy, and inpatient treatment and stabilization. Established in 1953, Henderson is the Broward County’s largest mental health provider. For Parkland Cares, Henderson is offering free counseling on many different levels.
The Bougainvilla House Family Therapy Center provides teens and young adults the counseling, therapy and support they and their families need for substance use and behavioral health issues.
The Bobby Resciniti Healing Hearts Foundation, in its 12th year, has a local Coral Springs Healing Center that offers free help from licensed therapists to parents who suffer the loss of a child, siblings and other types of losses.
The TRIP program created by Nova Southeastern University's Psychological Services Center treats individuals age 18 and older who have been exposed to a traumatic situation and are currently experiencing problems in functioning as a result of the traumatic experience.
The NSU Child and Adolescent Traumatic Stress Program (CATSP) provides children and adolescents (birth–18) who are experiencing post-trauma symptoms with specialized psychological services to help them gain greater satisfaction in their lives.
Goodman JFS is dedicated to empowering individuals, strengthening families and protecting the vulnerable by providing exceptional social services to the entire community, based on Jewish values. We are there for those facing daily challenges, difficult life transitions, new and unexpected hardships and immediate crises.
Donations raised will be used to provide funds and awareness for immediate and long term counseling and support for the victims, families and the community in the aftermath of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, FL. The goal is to fund and promote counseling and support for those affected immediately and long after the initial crisis assistance has dissipated.
